Keeping the
legend alive …
It’s the
story of a new entity, of Swiss origins,
that decided to devote itself in a highly
professional manner to motorsport,
approaching it from the passion angle.
Instead of looking through the big catalogue
of existing models and buying something,
this project set up by the Swiss Martin
Bartek is highly original and exclusive in
as much that it offers up the return on
track of power beasts accounting for one of
the most mythical in the history of
motorsport, or in fact the automobile in the
noblest sense of the word.
As such the legendary Ford GT40 is back to
haunt some of the most prestigious circuits
thanks to its contemporary version, the Ford
GT, which Matech Racing has homologated in
the GT3 category. Most certainly a first
stage, as the future evolutions of the
various international regulations for GT
cars should undoubtedly help in bringing
back the lustre of old for this gorgeous
American machine …
Running in parallel with this major project,
Matech in collaboration with Ford Racing is
working at bringing back another myth,
namely the Mustang. Presently there is talk
of the FR500GT and FR500C meeting the
present GT3 and GT4 regulations. Here also
this project should be evolving shortly.
Surrounding itself with specialists in their
specific fields, Matech Concepts is
determined to work in the rules of the art,
in order to favour and highlight cars with a
rich heritage. Cars with a strong
personality; permanently spoken about by all
aficionados, but others also. Keeping the
